Operation Chaos, Rush Limbaugh’s grand design, likely put Hillary Clinton over the top in Indiana. With the vote so narrow, Republicans who want the Democratic nomination to continue did their best by voting in the Democratic primary for Hillary Clinton.
Thirty-six percent of primary voters said that Clinton does not share their values. And [...]

Democratic Race: Supreme Court implications
May
As the Democratic nomination race continues on and on without any end in sight, the question of Supreme Court nominees comes into play. The Court is obviously very right of center as it is presently staffed. A democratic President, backed by a Democratic congress, would alter this configuration. An editorial in today’s New [...]
Hillary’s saber-rattling
May
Hillary Clinton takes a very hawkish stance on National defense. When analyzing the differences between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, it is this national security hawkishness which strikes me as the most important policy difference between the two. Even John McCain is less hawkish than Clinton on national security.
Today the Carpetbagger Report has [...]

Overkill and Short Shrift

Bob Herbert has a great column in today’s New York Times about race. I definitely suggest giving it a read. He says:
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright is no doubt (and regrettably) a big issue in the presidential campaign. But what we’ve seen over the past week is major media overkill — Jeremiah Wright all [...]

According to RealClearPolitics.com. Barack Obama now has 1737 delegates. This is 288 Delegates short of his total needed for victory. As votes are cast and super-delegates creep in, I will update this magic number.

Polls: Is Barack Obama Poised To Lose North Carolina Democratic Primary?
May
The following is a link to a blog by Joe Gandelman, who is Editor-in-Chief at the Moderate Voice online. From what he has compiled, the Wright fiasco has been absolutely catastrophic for the Obama campaign. This could be the thing that implodes the efficacy of his whole candidacy.
Don’t get me wrong, I still [...]

The P in Obama’s ENTP
Apr
As the Jeremiah Wright National Press Club (NPC) debacle gathered steam, many wondered where the hell is Barack Obama. As I am on his mailing list, the only thing I heard from his campaign was yesterday at 9:15 in an e-mail about Limited Edition Car Magnets. I wondered, “do they not see the [...]

Obama disowns Wright
Apr
I am satisfied with how Obama has disowned Rev. Wright. He did so emphatically and categorically.
“Whatever relationship I had with Reverend Wright has changed as a consequence of this,” Obama said.
He was angry at what Wright said and did. See story.
For me, that ends this debate. Let’s move on to real issues.

Generation Gap in Politics
Apr
Marc Ambinder over at the Atlantic Monthly showed a chart suggesting a future re-alignment of voting patterns toward the Democratic party and away from the Republican party. His chart reinforces the idea that it is not naiveté on the part of young voters in supporting Obama’s Presidential candidacy, it is rather that there has [...]
