It's a revolving door. So to say that focusing on GOLDMAN SACKS-USA is barking up the wrong tree is incorrect.

Henry Paulson, former CEO of GOLDMAN SACKS-USA made that BIG BANK BAILOUT DEAL with BUSH. You know, the one that made taxpayers give AIG the bailout to pay back GOLDMAN SACKS-USA 100% of their losses and to make AIG pay 100% of the losses of GOLDMAN SACKS-USA's European client base.

GOLDMAN SACKS-USA and GOVERNMENT are one in the same now.

what's the difference between the government and GOLDMAN SACKS-USA? Unfortunately the changes you propose are all controlled by politicians and they aren't likely to change anything that makes re-election a challenge. I, like so many others, am frustrated by the situation but don't see much chance of voters organizing to force change. Maybe if the numerous, influential bloggers who see the problem were to get together and begin organizing voters there would be some action behind the collective voice. Any takers??

Agreed. Wall Street has government in its pocket. If you want GS to leverage up with increasing their VaR on a daily basis to make massive moves and stop you out of your positions then you live in an alternate universe than 99% of retail investors. GS needs to be broken up or not be declared a bank holding company. Placing them outside of the SEC immediate view does the US no good.

Our government is broken. The veil of tax & tyranny will end swiftly one day. The economy will deteriorate to a point that even Obama's charm won't allow him to get reelected.

you can't brush off GS so easily. the direction of the government's concern for the financial industry has been originated by GS, hence GS has always profitted enormously. Populist outrage does not matter, but focus does. We (the American People) have no focal point for the anger and no policy change. I will be writing letters to my two Senators and Representative but I am only one voice.

amen brother

I am much more concerned about the purchase of the government by corporate interests and the regulatory capture.

What I am most concerned about is that the American citizen does not appear to understand that our country is being stolen from us.
