The Globe & Mail columnist, Margaret Wente, goes one better with her dry and sarcastic wit about the U.S. Democratic primary race. She’s a Canadian writing for a Toronto-based paper and she has a wicked sense of humor.
Hillary Clinton’s most striking feature is her tenacity. She never, never, never, never quits. She knows voters don’t like her. She knows they think she’s cold, arrogant, untruthful and devious. But still she presses on. “Just tell them that up close, I’m nice,” she instructs the door-to-door canvassers.
Okay, so she’s nice. She has all the niceness of an irate pit bull. Hillary has locked her jaws onto Barack Obama’s calf and, no matter how hard he kicks, he can’t shake her off. Will he bleed to death? Or will someone shoot her first?
